Health Benefits
The Solar Roadways will save countless lives by the removal of snow and ice in the northern climates (Snow/Ice Managment), the illumination of the roads at night (Illuminated Roads), and the warnings of wildlife ahead (Wildlife Protection).
The Solar Roadways will help to clean up the environment by eliminating the need to produce CO2 in the generation of electricity, by preventing pollutants from entering our lakes, streams, and oceans (Water Management), and by eliminating the need to burn oil in the forms of gasoline and diesel (Electric Vehicles).
All of this pollution has taken a toll on our children. One of the members of our Advisory Board, Dr. Forrest Bird, invented the Bird Respirator, used worldwide in just about every hospital. Dr. Bird was inducted into the Inventor’s Hall of Fame in 1995 for saving countless thousands of lives with his respirators. Well into his 80’s, Dr. Bird and his wife Dr. Pamela Bird (also on our Advisor Board and author of Inventing for Dummies) still travel the world, talking to doctors and hospitals and schools. Pam told us once that, 30 years ago, they’d go into an elementary school classroom and ask if any students had asthma. Occasionally, one hand would go up. Today, she tells us that 30% of the hands go up. Respiratory illnesses have escalated with the rise in CO2 in our atmosphere. People who live in congested areas where auto exhaust is prevalent suffer a higher rate of respiratory illnesses than the rest of us.
The Solar Roadways will eliminate the need for pouring CO2 into our atmosphere in order to create electricity. It will make all-electric vehicles practical, so we can stop burning gasoline and diesel.
Let’s give our children a chance at a brighter future: let’s not leave them a world where respiratory illnesses become the norm rather than the exception. How much longer shall we continue to endanger their very futures?
